17/10/17 Personal Project and Adrian's writing workshop

I choose this piece of illustration by Little Thunder from Hong Kong. She is skilled in traditional inking and refined linework.

I like how Martu described this drawing concisely by her own point of view. The piece of drawing does show movement, as if time has stopped and the bear has jumped midair.

My skill chart. I think I am pretty competent in Microsoft office and Adobe Photoshop, but I have not yet been in contact with premiere, after effects and coding. I would also like to learn more of printmaking, 3D animation, and would love to collaborate more with fellow classmates.

Setting my personal project initial brief. I would like to work more on narratives and storytelling. It has always been an area I am interested in, but I have never explored it professionally or proactively. I might want to focus on a particular story/ theme (content), or I might focus on the narration techniques (medium).

I can definitely learn from these visual posters from Jon and Martu. They made their briefs look visually engaging and fun. But I would have to think more about the details of my brief first!

We laid out objects we brought in for Adrian's writing workshop. It was useful to practise describing our objects in different perspective, such as utilitarian, aesthetic or social, which we can use later on in writing our essays.
