5/10/17 Group drawing

Fae's rule was to draw detailed houses and buildings from our imagination. We drew very different ones (e.g. from just an apartment/segment of a wall to a whole cottage) and managed to connect them together. It was as if our houses are floating midair without a sense of gravity. For example, Xinyu and my pool are connected by a tube and we made collective efforts to pollute Tom's plant on the rooftop.

My house.

Tom's rule was to make quick drawings of faces. We overlapped them and used Tom's different-coloured markers. We turned the paper clockwise so we can get a nice mashup of different styles.

I did the ones with facial contours. Haven't drawn gigantic faces like these for a while.

My rule was to draw something ugly, as in to make something look uglier rather than to draw things considered ugly. For a while we couldn't make things uglier, because we are used to drawing prettier things. That is also why I chose this rule.

Each of our drawings inspired each other to draw uglier things. We rotated the paper and added uglier elements to original drawings other people did. This made them look more interesting because we had different ugly standards.

The ugliest face I drew.

Xinyu's rule was to draw anything blue in blue colour. This rule was more challenging than we thought, because we realized there wasn't many things that were inherently blue or only blue (despite many things being possibly blue).

It took us a while to think of more blue things. Interesting one include smurfs and app icons such as facebook, twitter and tumblr. Perhaps blue is the best looking colour on screen?

Blueberries aren't that blue in real life but anyway.

Cold-blood veins!
