What does Kayla collect??

Postcards with good designs. Trash because they might come in handy.

The set of "The Pocket Dangerous Book for Boys" and "The Pocket Daring Book for Girls". I found them separately in two second-hand book stores- one in HK, one in London I think! I bought the first one, 'Girls' because I thought it is quite discriminatory to label activities only girls should do are considered daring such as sewing. I might be able to do something with the hard covers later, maybe create some pop-up illustrations with them!

The thing about collecting is that you'll never know when you'll use the things you have gathered, but that is also the joy of collecting seemingly useless things.

I also collect envelopes of different sizes.

I've collected at least 50 pieces of paper wrappers of the Chinese candied plum, which is often consumed after bitter Chinese medicine. One or two are given along with the pack of medicine each time, and I have gathered up the wrappers throughout the years when my mom and I drink Chinese medicine for persistent coughs/ aches (mum) and much more.

I also have a book of leaves I've collected since who knows when.

The latest one: an orchid flower (the representational flower of HK) I collected a day before I came back to London.

Pens, brushes, ticket studs and random inspirational quotes.

Pictures of yummy food. Mostly to commemorate what I cooked. But there are occasionally delicious eat-out ones.

Stones and pebbles, usually from when I'm somewhere else.
