Printmaking- Retailing (UPDATED)

I decided to draw a character from my personal project, in a scene where she encounters a "fat monster" (made of artificial mutated fat, maybe). Retailing is really time-consuming for me, because I am too slow in sculpting away pieces of plaster. And I've decided to make 3 layers of colour!

Nevertheless, printing and working away layer by layer is fun and challenging. I haven't managed to finish the piece in the end, but I will come back to do it again.

AND I'M BACK!! This is before the last black print. It took me a bit of time to figure out how I should emphasize the monster and the character.

I chose to have a black background and it worked very well. I didn't want the marks in the beginning, esp when the pink is with a pop orange-red colour like the above.

The right one partly has no marks, which is even weirder because it left a very empty space. (I covered the area with newsprint paper)

Meanwhile the marks worked quite well B&W and with just pink (less finished prints). The technician said it added texture and character to the prints!

The gradient worked really well with the image! There was also another print where I added scrap bits of coloured tissue paper. They sort of filled the gap between the monster and the character.
