Exhibitions and artsy thingys I saw in Hong Kong
1. Transformation- Sophie Yu
Sophie is an art scholarship holder who studied Chinese traditional ink drawing. Her soft delicate brush strokes create hyperreal images of great verisimilitude.
The exhibition area is quite small though.
2. Mr. Doodleman in Mira place (which is a mall)
My mom in that dark doodle room.
I was a bit disappointed when I saw that there was no actual exhibition, but only Mr. Doodle's doodles as a kind of pattern over the floor and walls. But I guess that's a decorative way of using his work.
It was just so London themed.
3. Noritake in Sun Street (beside Moon Street and Star Street)
This is something like a pop-up shop on a special street in HK called Sun street. Which is 2 stories above normal streets?!
Noritake's work fits in the cubicle store very well: as minimalistic and simple.
His works on the wall. Space is quite limited though.
