Old photographs of Peckham

I found a Facebook group called I grew up in Peckham, where people share old pictures of Peckham. It is really interesting to see old faded photographs of streets back in the late 1900s, especially when some architecture and buildings are still existent!

Peckham's high street used to be really popular.

There is also another group called I Love Peckham. It seems that people really feel like they belong.

It's really interesting to see people relating to and talking about their olden times from the pictures! Many people said they have once worked in these shops or have seen them around.

This proves that the old photos aren't just forgotten artefacts. They evoke real memories.

All the fond memories: "My mum and dad got my first lady's suit out of there. I loved it and all grown up."

This must have been something like Selby's or in between Primark and Harrods.

The streets actually look quite similar because the stores take up the lower-half of the buildings.
