Another walk around Spitalfields: interesting things I saw
This picture taken under the shadow of a bridge starts my journey nicely. Half-shadowed, the stores seem more mystical than they are: what are Dream Bags? And (j)"Aguar Shoes"? and what is that bespoke (and perhaps handcrafted) sign with a gate of blue arches?
Ad-street signs.
Peculiar altar of an accident guarded by traffic cones to commemorate the spot?
I like how this mocks the information guide of a building, which instead writes life and personal advice.
Gathering of seashells.
A man was in the middle of painting a mural!
A desolate playground with a ray of sunshine.
The area is pretty unpopulated during weekdays. Tourists wander around looking at graffiti.
An industrial crane. There is always construction.
I like how the sunlight projects silhouettes of trees onto these neat, otherwise slightly boring row of buildings.
A very big window.
Brick lane and endless curry shops.
This duo is performing and playing some really nice music in front of the records store, which is also blasting music.
A perspective of chimneys and windows.
The duo is performing again but in front of All Saints!
"Sticker-bombed" traffic lights.
Man with chains and a high hat.
I find this ripple (made of a mix of textile-like sequins as a sign!) very intriguing to look at.
