Trump "brainwashing" (as mentioned in the article) his supporters about an incoming "red wave" as opposed to the blue wave.

Documentaries about cults
"Enlighten Us":
Everyone knows someone who reads some shittily titled, delusional book that’ll claim to fix everything for them, then get way too into it. People like James Arthur Ray are exactly like that. They can get people to pay ten grand to not drink water for two days, not eat for a day and a half, then cram themselves full of food at breakfast and sit in a sweat lodge. It’s a minor miracle only three people died.

"Deprogrammed":
explores the support system in place for helping ex-cultists rejoin the rest of the world.

Cult helping ex-cultists to stay out of cults?

In China, Brainwashing Is ‘Colourful’ (or "free vocational training" factory)

The Chinese Communist Party is claiming that its re-education camps for Uyghur Muslims, who are targeted to erode their faith, are actually vocational training centers aimed at making their life “colorful.” Almost a million Uyghurs are believed to have been brainwashed through the detention centers and the United States government is mulling sanctions on China for the deplorable treatment of its own citizens.
  • being physically and psychologically tortured
  • China subjects Uighurs to brutal and intrusive surveillance measures, which it describes as counterterrorism measures
  • "to get rid of the environment and soil that breeds terrorism and religious extremism and stop violent terrorist activities from happening."

  • being shackled and beaten up
  • forced to sing patriotic songs about Chinese President Xi Jinping in order to be fed
  • being told to renounce their religion
  • believe that the Communist Party would take care of them instead
  • curtail Islamic identity and practice — banning, among other things, long beards and headscarves, the religious instruction of children, and even Islamic-sounding names.
  • being detained for bizarre and flimsy reasons, such as setting a clock to two hours behind Beijing time, or knowing people who had traveled out of Xinjiang.
"Chinese officials seem to be hell-bent on stamping out everything Islamic about the Uyghurs and converting them into a Communist-approved version of what a citizen should be."

China's hidden camps - BBC News

official footage in national TV

"I am a national citizen who abides by law"
The most basic quality of a citizen is to abide by the law. In any situation we shall be civilized, trustworthy, be respectful to the elderly and loving to the young, abide by the law, appear clean and neat, passionate to work, respectful of public etiquette, protect public properties, be hardworking and frugal.

Our country is an ancient civilization with 5000 years of vibrant history...

Flyer posted on locked houses of Uyghur families:
"Six things to make things clear:
1. Speaking clearly the reason why your family member is "Cared for" (what does that even mean)
2. Speaking clearly the current stern policy
3. Speaking clearly the harm extreme religious views bring to reality
4. Speaking clearly if "cared for" family members don't take appropriate measures in time they might endanger the society and implicate their family
5. Speaking clearly the government is conducting "caring" in concentration, from the viewpoint of trying to help (you)
6. Speaking clearly if you breach the law you will be heavily punished

And below a youtube comment of a "brainwashed" Chinese citizen:

"To secure the central realms (of China), we must settling Zhin Jiang (and all these rural places that we much conquer)...do not underestimate the power of religion!)

I  very much agree on and support the community party and government's Chinese, political and universal education on Uyghurs in China. BBC is worrying for nothing... they're still fussing about when the value of universal human rights is deteriorating. (Which is exactly what is happening to the Uyghurs???) There're only a few of those houses in the video. How can you deduce that they are places where human rights are violated? .."

Mad.

"Stability is a blessing; instability is a calamity."

The app, named Jingwang — which in Mandarin Chinese means "cleansing the web" — extracts information including the phone number and model, and scours through its files, the US government-funded Open Technology Fund reported.
The screenshots below show what the app looks like. The one on the left shows Jingwang prompting users to delete "dangerous content" on their phone, while the one on the right shows the app's access.

he was forced to wear a contraption known as “iron clothes,” an outfit of iron claws and rods that left him immobile in a star position. One day, he was made to wear it for 12 hours after he refused to make his bed.

A friend, calling from China, told her: “I haven’t seen yours in a while. I think they may be at school,” code for detention in a re-education camp.
“We can’t ask, and they can’t say,” her daughter-in-law says, explaining why they do not use names or speak more specifically. “We can only say: ‘How are ours?’”
